As an organizer you successfully challenged your co-workers to come together to fight not only in their own interests, but for the betterment of the entire higher education community.

As a leader you have spoken truth to power, insisting that politicians and the press recognize the vital role that universities play in our society.

As a citizen activist you have built bridges to bring together trade unionists, community activists, and advocates for the poor and disabled in common cause to build a more just society.

You were an early champion of universal heath care, understanding that access to care is a right which should be provided to every citizen.

You have continued your lifelong struggle for justice alongside your contemporaries in Metro Seniors.
