The 2018 60th Eugene Debs – Lucy Gonzalez Parsons – A. Philip Randolph Dinner and Dance Party

Join the activists and organizers of the Chicago chapter of the Democratic Socialists of America as we celebrate another year of building democracy and socialism in Chicago! This year our historic dinner will include a delicious menu from Unforgettable Edibles, a cash bar featuring local beers as well as mixed drinks, limited edition posters, t-shirts and buttons for sale and a silent auction with amazing items!

Eugene Debs – Lucy Gonzalez Parsons – A. Philip Randolph Dinner and Dance Committee is excited to honor labor activist Sarah Chambers and Health Care/Single Payer advocate Anne Scheetz. We will also be presenting a service award to longtime DSA members Bill Barclay and Peg Strobel and give a Life Time Achievement Award to Workers’ Rights defender Bea Lumpkin. DSA member and Rock Island’s Fifth Ward Alderman Dylan Parker will be giving the keynote address.

Doors open at 6 pm for a cocktail hour with DSA activists, our speakers and other guests, and music provided by Chicago DSA’s own house jazz band! Dinner will be served at 7 pm. PLEASE NOTE DINNER TICKETS ARE SOLD OUT.
