Cover-Ups, Black Sites, Surveillance: The State of Policing in Chicago

May 18 @ 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm

The Chicago Police Department has been given an enormous amount of power through their budget and consistent lack of accountability for their violent behavior against residents. From the cover up of police murders by the City to the hyper-surveillance of communities of color, Chicago could easily be considered a police state.

Join us and BYP100 Chicago for a panel discussion and breakout strategy sessions that will lay out the full scope of policing and begin setting a People’s Agenda for safety in Chicago.

*Note: This location is ADA accessible but does not have gender neutral bathrooms. We will be in Room 101.
